Payroll and the Construction Industry Scheme
Staff to pay or subcontractors to account for, we handle the filings each period so you are not the one watching the calendar.
Payroll
Every time you pay someone, HMRC expects a submission on or before the payday. We run the payroll, produce the payslips, handle starters and leavers, and deal with pension auto-enrolment so your duties as an employer are covered.
- Weekly, fortnightly or monthly payroll
- Payslips, P45s and P60s
- Pension auto-enrolment and re-enrolment
- Statutory sick, maternity and paternity pay
CIS for contractors
If you pay subcontractors you need to verify them with HMRC, deduct at the right rate and file a monthly return. Returns are due by the 19th of each month, and a late one brings a penalty even where the return is nil.
CIS for subcontractors
Tax is taken off your payments before you receive them, usually 20% if you are registered and 30% if you are not. That often adds up to more than you actually owe across the year, which is why a properly prepared return frequently produces a refund. We make sure your materials, expenses and deductions are all accounted for.
Fallen behind?
Tell us. Late CIS returns and unfiled payroll are a regular part of our work, and it is usually sorted more easily than people expect.
